is chief technology strategist for Optical Network Products at NEC America. The author of more than 40 papers and two books, he is an active speaker and organizer of industry conferences, as well as a member of the IEEE Communications Society and LEOS. He earned both his M.Sc. and Ph.D. in electrical engineering at the University of Belgrade, Yugoslavia.
